According to the latest update, the overseas rights of Nani starrer upcoming movie Tuck Jagadish are sold out recently. Shiva Nirvani debuted as a director with Ninnu Kori and went on to direct Majili, starring Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya. This is Nani’ 26th film and is being produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi. Natural Star Nani and director Shiva Nirvana are working together again, after Ninnu Kori, for a new film Tuck Jagadish. I am right now shooting for ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ which will release early next year. We are looking for a November-December release in theatres. We have done with the shoot and currently, post-production is happening. Any filmmaker, any technician or actor all want to see on big screen with audience. Taking everything into consideration we decided to have an OTT release. In this kind of situation with 50 per cent occupancy, curfew for night shows and all happening around us and in the USA which is a very substantial market for Telugu audiences there are a high number of cases right now. ‘Tuck Jagadish’ is a very solid budget film. Reason for releasing ‘Tuck Jagadish’ on OTTīecause of the situation. Every Telugu or every Indian who wants to watch will have access wherever in the world they are. The moment ‘Tuck Jagadish’ is up everybody will have access. Places which do not have theatres and don’t play Indian films will get to see the movie on the first day. These are the only countries that have theatres that play Indian films. We have prime markets US, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia. ![]() ![]() With theatrical release we will have access to around 10 countries. When things get back to normal and all theatres reopen we will have the same relationship of having a theatrical release.Įven with the theatrical release, we will not have that kind of access. In situation like this, it’s a brilliant opportunity. In 240-plus countries we are reaching millions and millions of people in the comfort of their homes. Even now when theatres have not opened in a lot of states, Amazon is giving us a chance to reach all audiences across the globe. First of all, I was very happy because there were no theatres and we could not reach a lot of people. Last year ‘V’ was released on Amazon on September 5 and exactly one year later we are releasing ‘Tuck Jagadish’. It’s different but we are getting accustomed to it. Everything has changed for the entire world. Everybody is going through lot of changes in their shooting atmosphere because of corona, the fear and the situation. It was quite challenging like for everybody else. We have explained in the second half why he always tucks in. He is called ‘Tuck Jagadish’ because of his identity in that village. In that village we are showing in the film, he is the only one who always tucks in. This is my return gift for them, something that they will all enjoy. ![]() I really feel this is my gratitude towards them. From the beginning of my career, I have the love and support of family audiences. I have only acted in films where I have a minute family or a boy who doesn’t have anybody and then all kinds of roles but this is first time I am playing a guy who belongs to a family of 20-30 people. This is very different from what I have done before because this is the first time I am doing something which includes a huge family. On ‘Tuck Jagadish’ comparison with his earlier movies Jagapathi Babu plays a pivotal role as he essays role of Nani's brother. Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh, highly acclaimed and talented actresses, are the female protagonists of the film.
